Honestly you should consider smoking cigars instead of cigarettes, they have a more complex flavour profile, they are less addictive (and the higher price makes them less accessible, making it a rare pleasure) and can be nicely paired with other /ck/ things (chocolate, liqueur, wine, coffee), while constant cigarette smoking will only desensitize your taste buds.

He's not wrong, American Spirits don't have all the additives most other cigarettes have. And tobacco in itself isn't what causes cancer, see the smoking beagles study for example.
The best American Spirit kind is the black packs though because that one is not only American grown (some of the others like yellow aren't)-- which is better as far as fertilizer practices go-- but also it's a special kind of tobacco called perique that's only grown on this one farm in Louisiana, so whatever industrial / radioactive crap gets into most other cigarettes are less likely to show up in output from that one special Louisiana farm that grows the entire world supply of perique tobacco.
Not saying it's perfect or risk-free, but there are definitely harmful things going into other brands of cigarettes that you avoid with American Spirit black packs.

Look up perique tobacco, it doesn't matter if you buy cigarettes or pipe tobacco, if you're getting perique tobacco it's all coming from the same one farm in Louisiana. And that "muh fragile only grown in Louisiana so it's chemical free" tobacco is bullshit. Acadia Perique which is grown several other states is very high quality and is preferred because it costs less and is processed in the same way, in the barrels that ferment the tobacco and are slowly repressurized. The Lousiana region probably just has the most preferred location for what really is a fragile crop which has evolved/been bred to depend on certain soil/climate characteristics, like how Vidalia onions in Georgia draw their sweetness from low sulfur content in the soil.

Not to mention perique isn't the gold standard above all. Plenty of other places grow great tobacco - Virginia, Carolinas, Connecticut. Your tunnel vision on this one heritage farm in Louisiana prevents you from seeing that there are tons of other fine blends of tobacco. But as I sad earlier, cigs are not the best anyway.

iunno, depends how well you balance the alcohol and weed. i found best thing for me was to do 2 500mL cans of strong alcohol and then start smoking weed as I'm halfway through the second can. I'd end up buzzed and energetic from the alcohol and weed would chill me out.

The only cigarettes I would ever spend money on again are Lucky Strike. As they were probably the best ones I've ever had. Though my favorite cigarette was Djarum Black, before they had to become cigarillos.
In my experience though I've enjoyed pipe tobacco, hookah, and cigars the most.
Would highly suggest just jumping in to cigars or pipes instead of cigarettes.

I've heard many good things from these cigarette brands so far: Lucky Strikes, Camels, American Spirit and Marlboro. I dropped smoking after realizing how superior imported brands are compared to my country's shitty brands. I thoroughly enjoyed Lucky Strikes that I tried in the United States during my travels. If I could get them here, I'd be smoking everyday.

Not only does he do a month's worth of vapor all at once (rather than over the course of a month), but he uncorks the bell jar right after doing the experiment! Is it any wonder it had lingering condensation? My lungs are not a pile of cotton balls, and my esophagus is not a plastic tube.

I found out the other day that some ridiculously high amount like 90% of black smokers use menthol cigarettes because of some deliberate effort decades ago to market menthol cigarettes to blacks. This is quite common in the states, and still persists. Where I work at, a bowling alley, the employees can literally make up their own time to smoke, whenever, and however. Busy or not, they can simply walk out and take a break. We have no mandated break times, so any time can be technically break time.

I never implied that you illiterate moron, any employer worth their weight don't cater to peoples addictions. This. I smoke weed, the odd cigar and sometimes a blend of legal herbs. A couple of times a week I'll smoke something and I fucking enjoy it. I'll pair some weed with coffee on a cold morning and look out over the mountains or I'll smoke a cigar with some whisky while reading a book.

Every cigarette smoker I see looks so depressed, head in their fucking phone or standing around in a huff like they have to smoke as quickly as they can to get the chemical in them. Like they're in a big fucking rush and have places to be. Not to mention cigarette smokers are always the ones littering, dumping their cigarette butts into the river, street or into the forest while the shit's still hot.

I've found that as I've grown older I've gotten super picky about what I smoke (and drink as well, alcohol-wise)
There's two situations where I smoke. One is at home just for enjoyment, and 90% of the time it's only one cigar or cigarette. Two is social situations. This is tricky because I know I will smoke multiple cigarettes, esp if I'm drinking, so I need something that won't absolutely kill me with tar and leave me feeling like shit the next day (yes I have baby lungs). So far for situation #2 I go with American Spirits orange (ultra-lights) or some kind of Camel, usually Royals. Golds dry my throat out. I am partial to Backwoods too but that's more of a sit on the porch kind of thing.
