Reminder that American cheese from a deli is actually a blend of cheddar and Colby, and must be labeled "cheese product" due to FDA laws regarding blended cheeses.

Kraft Singles are shit though and should rightfully be avoided.

I think Kraft singles are okay on an egg sandwich, or mixed with a few other cheese for grilled cheese. That's about it though. Even the best ones are gross when used on a cold sandwich, or if you use too much.

American Slices are also a stabilized product that melts better than cheddar or colby ever could, without sweating grease. All hail American food science superiority.
>>11214367
We deliberately made our cheese like this, because some cheeses do not melt in a pleasing fashion. Now go and try to melt Gouda without the job ending in tears, I dare you.

Reminder: all ‘cheese’ produced in the USA is objectively fucking shit.

>Because they “melt better”
Are you genuinely retarded?
They don’t melt better, have you ever of heard of Tomme de Savoie, Reblochon, Beaufort, Gruyère, Emmental or even the fucking Comté which is in the post you answered to? Not only are all those cheeses vastly superior on their own to American plastic cheese and “cheese products”, but they also work brilliantly melted, which is why many of them are used in Fondues. And that’s ignoring the obvious one like Raclette which is meant to melted before you eat it.
Christ all fucking mighty, have you ever even tried anything besides Kraft Singles and Gouda?

They all sound faggy. I've never tried Gouda, that sounds faggy too.

Who gives a shit? It might be genuine cheese but it's pretty damn bland and not worth buying.
