Have you ever had Eritrean/Ethiopian food? If not, why haven't you lived?

Anybody made/had the festival bread with the spiderweb design? Is it any good?

There is an Ethiopian restaurant near me and I was a bit underwhelmed which was surprising because I usually love spicy exotic foods (Moroccan, Egyptian, Indian, etc)

Maybe it was the restaurant

Himbasha is very good. Maybe you can buy it in bulk or learn how to make it yourself? I'm sure you'll have it down after 2-3 tries. It's such a great, filling snack along with tea and the like.

I had tethiopian food once from a place in DC while on a trip. Was good. fucking loved the pancake thing the food came on.
I super loved that the waitress dumped the little dish of shrimp right in the middle of the communal vegetarian plate. Got all the vegans upset. Then she moved on to the next table and did it again. Bitch had no fucks to give.
