Well the certificate said it was from Miyazaki and seemed legit. I did notice how the marbeling was not as intense as it should be for what it was claimed to be.

That would be far below market price for high-grade Jap wagyu.
It would be above market price for most American "wagyu", but then again it does look much better than that. Most American "wagyu" is a crossbreed which doesn't have anywhere close to that degree of marbling.

Now whether you consider "market price" to be worthwhile or not is a separate question. I'd gladly throw down $100 for that if it tastes good as it looks.
