His Pelmeni are kind of a bitch to make because of how messy and time-consuming it is to turn the dough into good dumplings, but the results are oh so worth it. You can make them with mashed potatoes (with copious butter and sour cream of course) instead of ground beef. I've found that beef ones taste better than potato when they're fresh, but potato ones taste better than beef after they've been in the fridge for a while. I have no idea how he keeps a bunch of them in his freezer; I tried doing that and they all stuck together in a giant ball of dough.

With potatoes we slavs call it vareniki. They are generaly wider and thinner than pelmeni. It goes something like this: if It's with meat - It's a pelmeni, chebureki or manti. If It's with potatoes, mushrooms, blueberries, cherries, cottage cheese (tvorog) etc - It's a vareniki.

This guy got me cooking also. It was the Stroganoff for One vid that did it. He made it look retard simple but it wasn't too hard. Then I made a few more things successfully. Now I cook all the time even if it's just a garbage plate. Can't believe the money I've saved.
