So tonight I'll be working on some lentil chili. Let me know what you think.

Browned ground turkey
Lentils
Tomato paste
Chili powder
Arbol chili powder
Cumin
Jalapenos
Onions
Garlic
Cayenne
Red pepper flakes
Worcestershire sauce
Instant coffee
(optional vinegar, if I feel it needs more acid)

>Tomato paste is the only source of tomatoes

Don't do that.

I also have some mexican spicy tomato sauce I guess I can add. Theres also ketchup to add some sweetness in place of brown sugar.. There was also going to be beef stock.

At least get a can of crushed tomatoes (San Marzano if you are feeling fancy)

Only other tomato product than the aforementioned is some pico de gallo I have on hand.

Skip the tomato paste and add chipotles in adobo sauce, they're relatively easy to find in my area canned, but I don't know where you live. You're also doubling up on certain ingredients, cayenne is better than red pepper flakes, and if you can find it replace the red pepper with some kind of dried peppers that end in -ahumado, which means smoked. I feel like the coffee is a personal touch, so I won't say no, but I don't put it in mine. It also sounds a bit odd, but if you are going to add onions, jalapenos and garlic you might as well add well diced bell pepper for some bits of veg that aren't necessarily spicy but add nice flavor and texture.

You also don't need to add any sugar or stock where I come from, but if you like it do what you want.

Don't do that.

Good idea though.

Chipotle peppers belong in the garbage and printed on meme-restaurants.
No where else.
