The so called "texture" ends when you pick up the sandwich. It only lasts as long as it can hold the weight of the bread and toppings for the few moments it took you to take that photo.

Hell, forget toasting it, forget holding it, if you let that sandwich sit on it's own for five minutes, the weight would completely flatten the folded meat.
