can i use pork sirloin to make char siu?
i bought a pork sirloin roast because it was on sale and i cant find any recipes for it
whenever i lookup pork sirloin recipes all that comes up is pork loin and pork tenderloin recipes
also any pork sirloin recipes would be nice

Yeah char siu should be fine, but there's a reason you find so many tenderloin recipes. Schnitzel, tonkatsu, and the classic american fried tenderloin sandwich are all fucking great.

You can use nearly any kind of meat (within reason) to make char siu. Pork sirloin is fine.

You are using red fermented tofu in your marinade, right?

"Pork Sirloin" is pork loin you dingus. There is the rib meat, the loin meat, and the tenderloin. If you don't know the difference I suggest a quick trip to the local butcher.

The "loin" and "sirloin" refer to the meat off the back that comes after the rib meat. Think like a NY strip on a cow.

here in america the sirloin refers to the glut muscles and not the back muscle
so shove a butcher's knife up your arse or as we say ASS
