The MOAR hops meme has genuinely ruined craft beer.

Stop ordering IPAs, you dip.

I'm drinking a Chicago kölsch right now, my man. Right down the street there's a german brewery that does everything classically as well. Another local brewery does mostly sours, scruits, and reserved pale ales aged on oak. This is all in the middle of illinois and easily available. You're missing out if you're still stuck on hops

>>11136293
if your local craft brewer doesnt have other styles available beyond the hoppy ipa why are you giving them business in the first place

It literally just means micro brew. A craft beer can be just a normal fucking beer. Stop doing your beer research on a board filled with 14 year old zoomers who have only tasted beer from sneaking one out of their dads fridge.

Why would I research beer?
I don't need to do that I already have a beer I like I don't need anything else.

No. No it hasn't. And there's been like half a dozen other fads since going for super high IBUs was a thing. Pretty sure you just don't like beer.

i used to feel the same way OP, but then i realized that for better or worse the US beer renaissance is being spearheaded by crazy IPAs, and will be for at least another few years

so stop worrying and drink those beers. ive had beers that are a cross between blueberries and roasted christmas trees. did i love them? no, but they were interesting and they got me drunk all the same
