Places that sell local eggs around here (so cal) sell them in packages of 6 sometimes. But eggs are a staple food in my diet so i need at least 30 per week. Do you really have such a high time preference/ lack the capability to think ahead that you only want to buy enough for one meal each time? It costs way more you know.

Eggs take a really long time to expire, and the cost of the egg itself is usually less than the packing/stocking/transport costs. So if it costs $3 for 12 eggs, you might end up paying $1.50 for 3, not 75 cents, which obviously isn't going to be that appealing to too many customers.

Then go to Denny's. Grocery shopping is not for you.
You don't buy bacon in packs of two, nor hot dogs. You don't buy a small packet of pancake mix either. If it's a food that lasts a while without expiring, or one you know will be eaten frequently, you are better off buying in bulk. If you only want enough for one meal, go to a breakfast cafe.

I can do that with several cartons of twos and threes also, just buy several of them at once. I just don't want to have eat 12 eggs at a time or have leftover eggs because they're really not good if you reheat them.
