I can see early evening being busy but not night. Usually in my experience a grocery store dies down by 7:30pm-8pm. I normally goto my Kroger on Sunday around noon but since I stayed inside all day yesterday I think I'm gonna go at 11am instead just to get out.

Upper-scale northeast grocery chain, has a large prepared foods department that they make up in house. Has lots of it's own brand products and food bars/restaurants inside as well.
