If by cheap beer you mean (Ol' English, Keystone, Natty Ice, Steel Reserve) then I say none at all. It's not worth it, it's disgusting and since beer has such low ABV once you get drunk you'll be bloated.

If you want to get drunk, but a bottle of 2 buck chuck and make some kind of Sangria to mask the flavor or man up and buy some Skol/Everclear and get it over with. Better to suffer a few minutes than a couple hours.

2/$2.98 (after tax) for the 24oz cans at most gas stations here. They used to be $1.11 each a few years ago. 4 cans in a night will get me pretty fucked up. 8 cans in one night can turn me into a raving lunatic (almost got evicted from this apartment or arrested a few times), then wake up after 16 hours shaking, nauseous, with what I call "cognitive scramble".

A lot of beers go bad throughout the year and stores need to make room for new supplies on the shelves, and once they're accounted for the liquor store earns credit. After that, they don't really belong anywhere else. So, if you can get in good with a local liquor store owner, manager, or even just a clerk who's in good with their boss you could possibly catch a box of free beers sometime. That's craft by the way. God knows why anyone would want those outdated Bud Light's or Coors'.

Steel Reserve or Hamm's by the way. Cheap as dirt, gets you smashed, look cool while drinkin' em'.
