My mom would make split pea soup with kielbasa on cold days when I was a kid. It's kind of a comfort food to me. She would just use kielbasa, Campbell's split pea soup, and some onions, but you could make it with dried split peas too.

Nowadays when I make it I also make some garlic bread, it's a good combo.
