Voodoo doughnuts started (or at least made popular) putting cereal and kool aid on doughnuts. It wasn't a meme back in 2003, and was a tiny shop with barely standing room next to the homeless shelter. Dunkin Donuts in Europe has surprisingly good donuts. The ones in Amsterdam have stroopwafel donuts, amongst others. Expensive, though. It’s like 20 euro for a dozen. Voodoo donuts are so damn stupid, the donuts themselves are actually alright with a good consistency and light sweetness, but they go way overboard with the toppings and super sweet icing. No one needs to suffer a doughnut topped with half a pound of cake frosting and dusted with Tang.
