what do extremely rich people eat?

>> No.11082522

It depends on what type of rich person.

I work at a CPA firm with a large high net worth individual tax practice. We have a family headed by a billionaire and his wealthy children as clients. I've never met the kids, but the billionaire dresses like he shops at Kohl's, eats the same stuff any normal middle American family eats most of the time, and his favorite hobby is something almost anyone on /ck/ could afford to do.

A few more notes, based on my experiences with clients who live it up a bit more. They're in the $50,000,000-$500,000,000 family net worth range.

They tend to eat a fair amount of the same stuff normal people do. You could find a lot of the stuff they eat at home at your local grocery store or whole foods.

They tend to eat out at restaurants that are expensive (but not necessarily the best food) and spend a lot on wine.

Events that cater to these type of people (Goldman Sachs client lunch seminar or something) tend to have fancier food than what they'd eat day to day.

Of course it's vague, if I named the exact hobby you'd probably figure out who the guy is.

As for actual food: we had sandwiches brought into the office for his last lunch meeting. This were normal sandwiches, things like turkey, ham, etc from a local deli.

Slide your chair away from the monitor and think about what you feel is right or wrong among your fellow humans. No one of us is greater or lesser than another. We are all subjected to circumstances, and these circumstances subject us to different lessons of the soul's journey. A person being poor does not equate to them being a "sack of shit". People are born different. Because of that, they have different qualities, which will make them unequal. And because people are still hierarchical by nature, greater and lesser inevitably follows.

You posed a question about genetic legacy, at best, or a pseudo-snark at worst. It's not punchy, it's not clever, it's just a pop culture reference two years out of date because Bruce lost his mind, pretended to be a woman, and ran someone over four decades after participating in the Olympics.

"Richest 10 people in the world" category are unlikely to use external CPA firms, they have something called a family office, it's basically a small company that behaves like an ordinary for-profit company, but the business model is literally managing the family's affairs, money-wise, legal-wise, and so on. There would be various kinds of attorneys, investment specialists, accountants, tax specialists, real estate management specialists, security specialists, and so on. There could be dozens or hundreds of employees, managers, executives, and even an HR department.

These kinds of families are essentially sovereign non-state entities with the power and influence of a decent size country, they probably have their fingers in some shady business somewhere, and it's always better for those kinds of families prefer not to involve outsiders who might be subject to record-keeping laws, reporting laws, or other annoying things that a publicly traded accountancy firm would be subject to.

The rich family in question is not going to be THAT rich if they're using a regular run of the mill accounting agency, a billion or two is peanuts compared to anyone in the top 10 list.

In America new rich people have absolute shit taste like >>11082522 said and it actually gets worse if they start talking/buying like they know wtf they're talking about because they predictably just go for the most expensive shit available.

If you're new rich it's safe to say you didn't get there by working in high end food and you had to work to get your new rich shit so your habits are your habits and even once you get a bunch of money you will throw it at your hobby and unless you're Nick Stellino it probably isn't truly understanding fine dining.

Old money is different, they haven't had to actually work in generations so their entire life is made up of learning high class etiquette which includes fine dining and fine art etc.

1 mil annual income will put your household in 1%. The 0.12% has the annual income of 1.6 mil. So they are deffinetly around 0.2-0.3% range. In other words rich.
Stop pretending as if its just upper middle class.

That's not how life works, cleetus. Very rich people get very rich by inheritance, or by starting out as just "kinda well off" and making high risk bets on stuff like real estate or private equity.

You will never be rich, and buying Great Value brand instant coffee instead of the Folgers isn't going to change that, ever. Pull your head out of your ass and stop voting against your own interests.

This isn't even true generally when you consider most "rich" people lose half their inheritance to taxes, commie faggot.

I can imagine myself setting up a direct line from smaller scale farms that deliver their goods to my home every other day or so. Making sure there's always something to get fresh all year round by having it spread over climate zones. Preferably in the US or at least in neighboring countries in the EU because I'm not that needy to have it flown by plane across the globe. Then have a personal chef to make something good out of whatever is delivered.
