Vegan here. I love carrots and recognise how environmentally damaging eating vegetables is, but I’m a little intimidated (and picky). Does anyone have any tips for reducing my vegetable consumption in a meaningful yet easy way? I want to make sustainable change in my life and diet!

we should try to conserve on resources where we can, but also focus on developing technology to make producing these foods less resource-intensive too. you don't have to go full vegan to reduce your intake of animal foods to only what you really need (inb4 you don't need them!!!, if you want optimal health you need some in your diet)

Any strats for buying foods like lentils, chick peas or other basic v*gan stuff? I quite like the taste but I don't want people to think I'm one of those "people". Usually I buy a lot of meat with that stuff and it does the trick but it's kind of expensive.

I doubt it, wolves would over predator numbers would skyrocket, then they'd starve.

You're just creating a very hostile and hellish life for many animals.

Most animals don't lead happy lives in the wild in all honesty. It's filled with sickness/injuries that goes untreated, and ultimately being eaten by something.

As opposed to, for example how cows are normally treated, stuffed in pens the same size as their bodies, fed unnatural grain diets that ferment in their guts, and slaughtered only one fifth into their naturally life span.

Alternatively, kept in pens the same size of their beds, constantly artificillay inseminated so they are capable of producing milk. Their udders become infected and leak pus and blood.

Upon giving birth the baby faces the same fate or is slaughtered early for veal.

>using long distance runners as a marker of health
They're usually underweight and suffer bodily damage because of how excessive their sport is. Just because an omnivore is more likely to be obese doesn't mean being an omnivore is the cause of it. Being on a specific diet means you're more likely to pay attention to what you eat and be healthier than the person who doesn't, but a moderate weight omnivore who exercises will be healthier and more fit than a vegan who does the same.

I don't really follow any of the people you're talking about so nice straw man I guess, I just read scientific studies and you didn't refute anything in the one linked here saying refined carbs are causing heart disease while saturated fat is most likely protecting against it >>11081697

Sure, you could start by eating the meat items that approximately 90% of your recipes are attempting to reproduce. Since you already know what they taste like, you can lie to yourself that it's just cauliflower or whatever, the same way you lie to yourselves about how veganism is environmentally friendly.

You're now aware that vegan diet for the human population would necessarily have to be supported by non-vegan, environmentally damaging technology since there is not enough viable land to grow all the food necessary to feed every person on Earth, the same way we're already causing a mass extinction simply by existing at our current population. Do some research on what a carrying capacity is and how human beings have artificially side-stepped it at the cost of hundreds of species we're not even eating, many of which are a direct result of land-clearing practices to grow enough plant-food for people.

Fuck off, scum. You're killing the planet faster than any meat eater ever did. You'd know that if you're brain was properly developed with some omega 3's.
