One of the places down the street from is owned by this straight up, very broken english, Japanese couple who can also speak spanish. The chef is a mexican dude and I swear when I go in there, he not only hooks me up with big slices but he's also quick as fuck. I love that place and it holds a special place in my heart. This is the thing that bugs me about these super expensive, super exclusive Michelin star sushi restaurants. It was fucking street food and literally anybody can put fish on rice. You do it a little bit better, Jiro but the whole thing is snooty as fuck.
