Lemon doesn't add taste, it precipitates out Ca and Mg ions in places that have hard water. If your water is soft then it will taste worse with lemon.

Have I got news for you! Butterfly pea flowers can be steeped in water to turn it blue without contributing any flavor of their own. This color turns pink or purple when exposed to acid. You can enjoy blue water as it is, or do fun tricks like make blue ice cubes that turn lemonade pink as they melt.
