I've eaten my share of pickled sausages. They all taste the same, vinegar-y. i don't know if you use vinegar in gumbo, but if you want a meat for it, get a sexy kielbasa from the refrigerated section of a supermarket

>mechanically separated chicken first ingredient
it'll probably have a shitty texture like bar-s hot dogs which are mainly the same thing. look for ones that are just made with meat.

that's barq's hotdogs. mechanically separated just means it was cut with a laser to remove gristle and shit you don't want in your mouth, it's purer chicken than you could cut

>Mechanically separated meat...puree includes bone, bone marrow, skin, nerves, blood vessels, and the scraps of meat remaining on the bones. The resulting product is a blend primarily consisting of tissues not generally considered meat along with a much smaller amount of actual meat (muscle tissue).

That thing expired 8 years ago, don't even take your chances mate

This is not true. I picked up some off brand Tijuana Mama's for a fishing snakc once. Needless to say they are the only snack that persists in the past try snack bin.
