It's not about the donuts, but the coffee. Dunkin has famously unoffensive mild nutty coffee that is always lacking bitterness and fresh.

I mean, I guess if you drink coffee because you're addicted to drugs and not because you like the taste of it, then that coffee would be ideal, yeah.

It kinda works out if you think about it. The scarcity adds to the exclusivity and mystique. So people act like it's the best doughnut place ever rather than the overrated doughnut place it really is.

Every Krispy Meme shut down in my state. Every single one. It used to be such a fucking fad. If there was a group party, you'd be sure parents would bring some Krispy Kreme over. The donuts weren't even half bad, but fuck were they overrated.

This is a retarded republican problem. This causes less diversity you mong.

Thats actually how they got in this current position. They fucked up by making their donuts available in stores other than their locations which ended up with them losing money and making their shops scarce.

I live in Manhattan and the closest Krispy Kreme is in that hellhole Penn Station. Kinda bummed about it, but it makes me eat less donuts and encourages me to go to the fancy local places, which are honestly very good. Donuts are now just a treat rather than a routine, which isn't really a bad thing.

You think it's a bad light? Why is that? That's the explanation for their popularity. Dunkin is far more popular in the northeast than Starbucks, despite availability. It comes down to what people like.

My old local starbucks in Miami got the formula right for what Miami natives wanted, al fresco tables with ceiling fans and lots of foilage like your own backyard, drivethroughs so you don't need to get out in 90F heat to go inside, complete with dog snacks and really fast service, and an ideal location for 24/7 late night, since Miamians go out after 10PM and will need a pick me up at 4am too. Dunkin locations are crap tier in Miami operated by pakis with poor donut selection at all hours, closed early, and no one actually eats donuts in Miami anyway if there are pastelitos, empanadas, papa rellenos, croquetas and walkup cafecito windows everywhere that low carb dieters want, but Starbucks can somehow still compete. It's not about the formula of what is better but what the local people want.
