You need about three tablespoons for a 10-12 ounce cup, and if the keurig is broke and doesn't heat the water properly then it won't actually brew.

Make sure your keurig isn't broke and that water is boiling hot when it first cones out.

I personally do four tablespoons for my large mug, which is about twelve ounces.

You have to add more than what's recommended for it to taste good, but it can taste good. It says add a teaspoon to 6 oz of hot water, but I do like 3 heaping. It's a lot of caffeine though so I only drink it once in a while, but someone else here said you can do the 1 tsp of regular coffee and then add the decaf version until it tastes better.
