what would happen if you only drank water? would you dead

>> No.10987592

You also have to breath
And exist
But if you don't exist, can you even dead?

>> No.10987610

What do you mean? If water was the only thing that you ever ingested and didn't eat any food, then yes, you would die. But if water was your only drink and you ate normally, then you would be fine.

I once did a 21 day fast of only water. Lost a shit ton of pure bodyfat and didn't lose much strength at all.

Would recommend for those of titanic willpower. That first small meal of mushroom soup I made when I broke my fast made me feel like Christ himself had drawn me out of the grave.

Don't eat food. Only drink water. Isn't that obvious?
>Please give links you read and detailed explainations
For what, exactly?
>Can you gym and lift while water fasting? Etc
That would be unwise:

>I know! Let's try to hold up this heavy iron bar over my chest while my blood sugar is so low that I might pass out at any moment! What a great idea!

Mix of button mushrooms, shiitake, enoki, garlic, and onions in a beef broth. Thrown together but was delicious.

Go watch "the snake diet' on youtube. He's a complete memer (and I did not follow his rules when I did mine) but he has good points about sodium / potassium supplementation on water fasts to protect your heart. Follow his protocol and you will be able to perform better (and not feel week / shaky).

There are plenty of peer reviewed studies where several MD's have used water fasting to great effect in their patients. Just google it yourself and dyor.

I was able to swim for 30 minutes to 1 hour a day, but I did not lift. I think you'd be fine on a 3x5 or 5x5 if you went 60% of normal working set weight. I may do a shorter fast and try that and see how I feel.

When your body is in a Ketogenic state you will not pass out due to hypoglycemia. Provided you supplement with Potassium you will not get the shakes either and can continue working out with reduced loads, you absolute brainlet.

The thing that keeps me from doing a true fast is fear of missing out on essential nutrients. I doubt vitamin pills are a sufficient replacement. I've heard too often that they're a waste of money.

In addition to simple stored fat, essential amino acids and vitamins are stored in adipose tissue as well. You would die long before you got scurvy. Or, more importantly, you'd be down to essential bodyfat (4-5% as a male) and be subsisting on literal meat only before you'd get hit scurvy or other nutritional deficiencies.

>>10987853
>what's the point?
Increased caloric burn, up-regulation of the body's hormonal profile to preserve muscle / maintain optimal hormonal profile.

Lyle McDonald wrote a book about the PSMF (Protein Sparing Modified Fast) wherein you take in 500 calories a day of protein (maybe with token fat depending on meat). You'll see similar, but not identical, results.

You would need to replace trace minerals and electrolytes, but other than that you'd be fine as long as you have some body fat to survive on.

My pleasure. I actually lost over 300lbs. I was a 505lb pork-lord at 18 and by 20 I was down to 225. 6 years later I've kept the weight off thanks to proper diet and training. I've accrued quite a huge amount of knowledge of what works and what is stupid.

PSMF works.
Keto works.
Fasting works.
Calories in < Calories out works.

Fasting is the fastest, PSMF next, followed by Keto on a caloric deficit, and then CICO in that order.

Losing weight is both the easiest and the hardest thing you will ever do.
