I like switchel made with non-fruit vinegars and honey. I'm allergic to most fruits so this is my alternative. It's pretty good though, it's kinda just like lemonade, but the honey and vinegar and ginger all just make it really refreshing when it's ice cold.

Berliner Weisse is a low-fermented German beer from the Brandenburg region. It typically has about 2-2.5% alcohol, is sharp and tangy and quite bubbly. It used to be known as 'the champagne of the proletariat' and was very popular. During the postwar period it went slightly out of favour as a drink by itself, but you can order it either 'mit rot' or 'mit grune', which involves chucking in a shot of either strawberry syrup or 'waldmeister' (forest herby stuff) syrup (see pic related). Pretty much nobody drinks it without a shot of syrup in Germany these days but my understanding is that as the beer style has become more popular in the US, people are drinking it there in the old fashioned way as a tasty low-alcohol beer.

You might be mixing it up with Weissebier, which they also drink a lot of in Berlin (and everywhere else in Germany). Weisse is any type of wheat beer and is normal beer strength and served without any shot. Berliner Weisse is the one with the shots and is not part of the normal range of weissebiers.
