What happened to the thread?

Anyway, what do you think about this place? Do you like it? Any BBQ places near you that you like?

Is this the new chick-fil-a thread?
Political shit aside though Mission BBQ is actually pretty damn good, especially for the price. Way better than I'd expected from a fast casual place.

I always thought their food was alright. Probably the best BBQ from a chain place, and better than many independent ones too, but there's almost always going to be at least 1 better BBQ as long as you are in even a tiny southern city. They are middle of the road for me. Maybe I'm partial because there is one like 5 minutes down the road from my house, while the next best BBQ place (which pretty much equals them, but has good beer on tap) is 10 minutes, and the really good BBQ place is 25 minutes away with tolls.

Are you the guy who was active duty? I grew up on military bases until I was 19 years old. California, Delaware, Japan (the best), Guam, Florida, Washington. On every base when the anthem began, everyone stopped their cars, got out and stood toward the flag/sound. Good memories man. Thank you.

Yeah I am a bit spoiled because I am below the Mason-Dixon line. I am not saying Mission is bad, but it isn't something I would rave over. Again, I support the shit out of their own support for the armed forces, police, fire departments, etc. I think that is why I also support firehouse subs and chick'fil-a, with chick being openly Christian and proud.

I was never a fan of the actual BBQ, but the sides were always pretty good. 6/10, not a place I would actively seek out, but would take along if friends went.
