I want one of those instant pots.
I'm 100% sure it'll end up stored somewhere, though.
Yes somehow I still want it.

Instant Pot Duo60 is $59 right now. If I didn't already have the Duo80, I'd definitely get that.

>>10917438
Even if you just use it to make rice and stock, it's a pretty good deal.

Is there any way to get a discount on this:

https://www.cnet.com/products/crock-pot-express-crock-multicooker/review/

It already is cheaper than the instapot AND it is non stick.

Yes, ever made a lot of dried beans? So much easier with a pressure cooker. I like my hummus.

Let them soak for a day.

Don't always have time for that. Pressure cooker means they go faster. To claim it isn't a useful device for the home cook is silly. Even soaked beans cook faster from dry in a pressure cooker.

I started using one for boiled eggs and it's pretty fantastic. You need a divet or some kind of tray but they come out perfect with no pot watching

if you eat japanese curry all the time theyre a life saver. take cheap tough as shit beef and throw it in the instant pot for 30 min, throw in your veggies for 10, add your curry blocks and you're done, it's great.

I actually really like mine. Once a week I'll use it to make a meal and it'll leave me plenty of leftovers for a few days after. I recommend looking up some recipies or some cooking videos to see if you'd actually use it for more than just rice.

I got one of those during the holidays last year and I've used it a couple times a week since then. I like it a lot. Bunch of fags pop up every time it's mentioned to say how cool they are for baby sitting beans or stock all fucking day, which to me sounds like sour grapes.

It works surprisingly well despite its meme-status.
I started making a lot of stuff i would never even have considered making in the past.
Another nice thing is that you can just clean your cooking utensils while the pot does its work.

Though I must admit it is a gadget, and will always remain a gadget.

I have an instant pot. And I like it. Let me tell you why.

Do not think of it as a rice cooker. Unless you only have a shitty electric stove. Any gas stove and a saucepan cooks rice better. And don't think of it as a scanner or any other dumb meme. Yea you can can with it, if you like making 3 cans every batch.

What it is is a better crock pot. If you have a working crock pot skip it. But if you do not, buy it. 70% of what I make in my instant pot is crock pot meals.

But it is extremely helpful if you need to pressure cook something. Especially beans or cooking a roast really fast. And the programmable settings make it worthwhile as a crockpot alone. Also it's really nice for making stock.

No it doesn't. I love my instant pot. But if i want to make perfect rice i still use my high burner till bubbles, stir, then simmer burner untill no water.
