I wonder what it's like to convince yourself you're more cultured because of how closed minded you are.

It is basically a mayonnaise taco with mystery meat. The mystery? That it is considered meat.

As a greek I can tell you that all greek restaurants are rip offs. Don't trust greeks. The only good greek food is that which is cooked in greek homes.

Although I think greek cuisine can be great, Greek home cooking is usually pretty bad in my experience.

But waiting for all the fat americans to tell me about the gyros they had which wasn't even made from pork

That's something you can find in many greek homes, my parents' included, though I prefer my roast chicken with more herbs and mustard powder rather than lemon

I grew up in a fishing village and I'd still say some of the best seafood I've had was on trips to Greece. And Malta.
They grill a mean squid.

>>10879741
Nah, mate. Chicken is her second choice of meat, believe you me.

Greek here, the best Greek food is made in Greece, and even in Greece if you go to tourist restaurants they have the shitiest Greek food, the best choice is to stay away from tourist places and go eat at a small tavern

Greek lamb fricassee is gloriously wholesome. As is moussaka. Greeks are one of the few people that manage to make squid/octopus taste great without frying it in a shit-ton of oil, too. Same for mussels.
