This. People are fucking pathetic, and it is scary when you work in the service industry and start to realize just how tribal and animalistic, even when constrained by society. Most people want to feel dominant to, and higher in the foodchain than some other person. It makes them feel better about their own position in life. A service worker, with little to no ability to push back, is incredibly easy pickings for this.
