What the fuck are you people talking about?

Also, inexpensive high-carbon takes and holds an edge just fine so long as it's been treated properly. Better than some Walmart knife. Hell most of the unbranded knives from the hmong market are better than victorinox.

For a cleaver you want thickness for weight and strength. That's the fucking point. You're not fucking filleting fish with it retard.

On the website it says it's 2.5mm thick, which is as thin as you'd want for one really.

Anyway, this is how much a carbon steel knife should be. They've been making them for so long it's almost impossible to fuck up. Paying any more and you're a fucking mug.

OP keep it sharp with stones, don't let it rust and it'll outlast you and this silly Mongolian drawing board.

Kek. This is meant to be a Chinese style chef's knife, not a meat cleaver

That's obviously meant to be a Chinese chef's knife, not a "cleaver" like we think of in the west. And yes, you would be fileting fish with it.

The chinese do make thick heavy cleavers for rough work, and just like a western cleaver the blade gets wider near the tip. Pic related.

Notice how the OP knife is a straight rectangle, rather than getting wider like this pic.

And here's a view of the actual "cleaver" from a different angle. More like 10mm thick, maybe more.

This is branding subculture slang for "low quality product with transparently aspirational branding aimed at poverty plebs", I'm highly amused that someone actually used that in the official brand name

>it's such an unbelievable piece of shit
what exactly is wrong with it? It is most likely too thick behind the edge and has to be forced through even a tomato no matter how much you sharpen it, just like I said about OP's knife.
