What do you think of this pizza, /ck/?

It's from Happy Joe's, an Upper Midwestern chain with its roots in my hometown of Davenport, Iowa.

Looks good. Pizza can be entirely different from one place to another, and still be good at both places. There is bad pizza, sure, but there's no one form of "good" pizza, either.

If that crust is the right amount of crispy without being a cracker basically, then that's a damn fine pie for sure.

It's garbage, it's trash. It's fucking abysmal. Is that really the best you can do? Is that the kind of quality you're aiming for? Really? I don't know why you even post here. Why do you even bother. You might as well give up. Though based on this monstrosity, you've already given up, haven't you? What is it, are you depressed? Are you done? Just look at the pepperoni, it's not even cooked. The raw fucking onions. They're not even sliced properly. I mean come on, you know this. You know this isn't good. Yet here you are, posting this shit again. Have you even looked at the crust? Or the cheese? I mean, what is that? They're snow fucking white. The dough has barely been cooked. Did you even put it in the oven? Did you forget to turn it on? It's just sad. This isn't a fucking pizza, it's a travesty. An absolute shambles. I don't know what else to say. It's just not good enough. Throw it in the fucking bin, and just stop. You can't cook. You're useless. Utterly useless.

Looks like a quality American Style pizza. The small bits of meat guarantee you get the flavor in each bite as opposed to massive pieces of sausage that come 4 pieces a slice. Cheese looks good, sauce is too red which means its straight from a can with little to no flavor addition.

10/10 would eat if pizza wasn't the most unhealthy and nutrition lacking cuisine in existence.

I would break the broader midwest into 3 main sections. The Upper midwest, lower midwest and great plains

The line between upper and lower is about an hour or two south of the lowest extent of the Great Lakes, below which people become significantly less civilized and begin having southern accents. The border between the plains and the rest of the midwest has to do with how the populations become so much less dense and more rural. I would anything more than a few hours west of a line between Madison, La Crosse and the twin cities starts meeting this threshold

Also, Missouri is the south

There's no black on it.

The problem with flyover pizza is that it's laden with too much/many toppings. Because of this it cannot be cooked in a proper pizza oven otherwise the outside would burn before the inside was cooked. The more toppings people insist on piling on the worse it becomes--the crust never gets crisp because of the thick soggy mess on top.

Good pizza looks like pic related.

Agreed, though I find the problem with shitty crusts to be more prevalent with delivery style, especially the "too chewy" part. But yeah, I agree that a cracker-like crust sucks.

Regardless of what kind of crust you prefer I really like those cooked in a super-hot oven because the little bits of char on the toppings really adds to the flavor. You don't get that with delivery style.
