I can tell you from experience they are definitely not chill when you're trying to capture one with a net. If you ever go after one stay conscious of their tails, they have a sharp ridged tail that can be like getting slashed with a bull whip that has razor blades imbedded in it. Fastest manual way to kill them I've found is to have one of your friends pin down the lizard and give him a good solid whack on the top of the skull with a heavy brick. If you do it right a lot of blood and bits of brain should leak out the nose, and he should be you know dead.
