Anyone notice a lot of fast food places completely overhauling their buildings? Multple McD's, Tacobell, Wendy's near me were rebuilt with a different look. Odd to see it all happen at the same time.

They all do it because it's cheaper than repairing the wear and tear individually, and also helps elevate the standards of the restaurant making it more appealing. You should see the ones in Asia though, here in the philippines McDonald's, Burger King, Pizza Hut, KFC, and even 7-11 are all two to three floor establishments normally with 800 person capacities. You can even book them for birthday parties and other events.

People use computers for stuff now, so branding can go well beyond just the font used on the sign over the door. You can just require the new franchise location to pick from a list of templated blueprints. Less work for them too.

It's in their interest for people to see the fast food chain look exactly the same whether you're in Muncie or Jakarta. This is not a conspiracy to make you feel uncultured or to intimidate you into not going.

I remember a few years ago /ck/ was losing its shit over a fast food chain adding an avocado option on the menu. You people really do have autism.
