Does spicy food really give people hot shits? I have never had that issue and I eat a lot of really spicy foods. Why is this

>> No.10817689

Not just the shits.
Had some really spicy Bicol Express last week and bum burned the entire next day.

What's wrong with people like you? It seems like there must be a problem with your digestive system.

Some people just seem to have really sensitive stomachs. I never get stomach issues from spicy food (or food with a lot of seasoning) but I've heard some people say they get the runs every single time.

I can't handle spicy food very well, but I've never had problems with it going out. Didn't even know it was a thing.

Same. I thought people were joking about fiery poops but I guess it's a real thing.

We had a thread about this recently with some revelations on this topic. When your digestive tract is functioning normally, your feces is solid and coated in mucus upon exit, such that the feces itself doesn't actually make contact with your anus. This means that even if there's lingering undigested spice, it shouldn't give you spicy shits. The issue arises when the spicy food comes out as diarrhea, as it is not possible to coat liquid shit with that protective mucus. As a result, it burns. This diarrhea can either be from the low hygiene standards at 'Ethnic' restaurants, or other kinds of food issues like lactose intolerance and gluten sensitivies. Either way, if you're body's working normally you shouldn't get spicy shits, so it's a sign that something isn't right.

what I'm hearing is that if you're white and can't handle spicy food in the first place, you'll have spicy shits

Well, lactose intolerance and gluten sensitivity are both most common among African and East Asian populations. The only reason you'd be likely to have spicy shits otherwise is if you're eating at a restaurant with bad food hygiene.

The main point of my above post is that it's the combination of diarrhea and spicy food that causes spicy shits, not just spicy food alone.

Hm interesting.
Sorry to make a thread about something that's been discussed recently. I guess I missed that thread.

If you drink so much it gives you diarrhea, you're drinking way too much.

Dried chili atleast on my part seems to not produce diarrhea/wets hit even if i make my food really fucking hot&spicy.
But most hotter sauces tend to do so... obv talkinga bout way hotter than Siracha or tabasco.
