that brand is actually ok. however go to a tortilleria if you want better tortillas or make them yourself, literally 3 ingredients and a hot surface is all you need and the quality improves about 500%

Mootxican here. It does depend really...

Corn flour tortillas are respectable, but not in the same league as the ones made with fresh nixtamalized dough. My best advice is to go look for a tortilleria that make their own nixtamal. Failing that, get a kilo of maseca and do them yourself. Remember to wrap them in a towel or in an enclosed container so they finish cooking with their steam, otherwise they'll be stiff.

they dont contain gluten, the stretchy protein found in wheat that allows bread to have more tensile strength. corn flour is made into masa by treating it with limestone, which changes the proteins through magic. fake tortillas add cellulose gum to the masa to aid in strengtheining them. true tortillas DONT hold together that well, but if soaked in a bit of liquid, and cooked in a bit of oil, they do alright.

Depending on where you are, why would you even consider making your own? Having just got back from Austin I was blown away by how dirt cheap and plentiful good corn tortillas are.
