Let's play a game, you post 5 random ingredients and anons try to make a proper recipe out of these ingredients. You are free to add your own stuff as well but make sure to include the 5 random ingredients in your recipe.
I will begin:
>Chicken
>Honey
>Peanut
>Bell pepper
>Oregano

>> No.10799997

Some weird chicken pad Thai. The oregano would be a bit off putting but hey I'd try it.

Honey chicken with crushed peanut could be alright.
Roasted bell pepper with oregano and mushrooms as a side.
I have no clue how it would taste.

Fennel bulb
Dark chocolate
Beef marrowbones
Lemons
Sweet potatoes (any variety)

Some sort of chicken satay type deal with skewers marinated honey, the sauce would be based off of roasted red peppers and ground peanuts. Oregano could be incorporated into the marinade or sauce.

>> No.10800545

Curious, is it just the inclusion of Peanut that's making people jump to Satay? Is the Honey a part of it?

I'm not that guy, but peanuts certainly suggests Thai. Honey isn't a normal part of the dish, but palm sugar is so honey seems like it could work as a substitution.

I buy these occasionally with the plan of finally doing something with it, but I never do. It tastes like anise. Don't know what to do with a taste like that.

none of your ingredients are random. they are deliberately selected to be unusual. thats not random. give us a database of all foodstuffs, we can do it, but the list may be biased horribly depending on how many times you list a certain food by its sub types: wheat berries, bread, pasta, pita, couscous, flour, pizza dough, cracked wheat, cream of wheat. the only way to do this is to show up at a friends house and agree to cook using whatever they have on hand. they werent expecting you to come over, so they could not plan to make their selection in relation to your task. anyway its the whole point of this exercise, to test your skill at taking disparate ingredients and making something nice.
