I can understand fast food chains staying in business because they are cheap and only take a couple minutes so people eat there but how do sit down chains like Applebees and white spot stay in business? The food is shit, it costs just as much as any good local restaurant and the wait times are ridiculous. Literally everyone agrees that Applebees is a trash tier restaurant but they are still around.

I know people my age (early 30s) who love eating there. Because they get to sit at the bar and feel cool. And because the staff let's them be loud n wild since they're desperate for customers. I went with them once and it's like a playground. You bring a group of 5-10 people and you can set up your own corner, take a bucnh of tables, order a bunch of food and dick around.

It wasn't for me though, I'd rather NEET it out at home
