How's everyone doing? What's for dinner tonight /ck/? I made some "chinese" pepper chicken. How's it look? It tastes great. Please mind my winter tablecloth I've been too lazy to change it. Let's have a nice saturday night thread.

Chicken looks tasty OP. Needs some rice and vegetables. Do you have an asian market in your town? I bet you could get some Chinese sweet rolls for dessert.

Yeah I know. I planned on making fried rice but it turns out I ran out of rice last week so I made due with what I had. I wish I had an asian market around here, but unfortunately I live in the middle of nowhere.

Just put some southern fried chicken in the skillet and gonna make a side of homegrown zucchini sauteed in a garlic hot pepper oil, mashed potatoes from my yukon gold potatoes I harvested a few days ago, a cucumber salad from my garden and fresh baked bread. I made a lemon tarragon beurre blanc chicken roast (I made the blanc and then rubbed it all over the chicken and roasted it). It was 100 lit emoji crying face XD. I was resting on a bed of golden potatoes too so those got all soft and roasted in the fat/lemon/etc too; which was fantastic.

I also made a corn seafood chowder (crab meat and shrimp) as an appetizer. It was also pretty good, but coulda been better.

New Jersey. I was just using Chef John (food wishes) recipe. The first time I made it was when Monster Hunter World came out, I made a bunch of dishes based off the monsters in the game (since cooking in a component of the game as well) as a little way to hype myself up, and to have a nice meal. I used the chowder recipe as a "Plesioth Chowder" (which in game is like a big fucking shark fish barracuda thing). I've modified the recipe a little bit to better suit my tastes, always comes out good.

I know that was a long winded explanation but I dont give a fuck. The beurre blanc was also his recipe, but I didn't use it as just a sauce but as part of the roast. And I added the lemon and tarragon because those are some of my favorite flavors for chicken. I'm hyped to eat more of it tomorrow.

Just had a quick burger tonight. Just moved into a new condo today, still in-asking shit. There’s a pretty good burger place in my building, figured I’d give it a go. Got a burger with a fried egg, cheese, bacon, and sautéed onions. Shit was good.

Excited about my new place, it’s right downtown, near a big mall, tons of restaurants, I have an Asian supermarket a 5 minute walkaway, good butcher shop, a big marketplace with tons of ethnic foods of all sorts 10 minutes away, all kinds of fast food places I never really had before because they didn’t have them near where I used to live.

Fuck, man. I’m gonna get fat as shit down here.

My old place was in an area that was mostly older white people, so the local supermarket was pretty lacking in variety, particularly ethnic foods and ingredients, so I’m pretty happy to finally have such better access to all this sort of stuff.
