Best donut I’ve ever had was in Japan like a decade back, I think it was somewhere in Tokyo Station. It was a cornmeal donut with some sort of custard inside, but it still had a hole in it, so the custard was actually inside the ring of the donut. It was rolled in some sort of crunchy bits. Was really an outstanding ‘nut.

Regular Krispy Kreme's are pretty komfy. I do like boston creampies, but I think it's because I like eclairs, and would rather have an eclair instead every time. For hipster meme tier ones, the maple bacon ones are pretty good, and there's a samoa cookie one that I liked too.
