Boomers everywhere are questioning just where they're going to go to eat dinner tonight as restaurants everywhere, including long-time favorites, turn to millenials as their primary target consumer.

Many boomers I have spoken to have come as spiteful and enraged toward the changes taking place in the food industry. So let's have a look at what those changes are.

Here is a picture of some of the recent attempts by various restaurants to pull a fresh generation of consumers, millenials, who have just started finding livable wages in the corporatised world. Let's have a look.

So we can see that Ruby Tuesdays, which once didn't have a single vegetable on the menu to appease boomers, has added a fresh and healthy salad bar, which they term "the garden bar" to their restaurants that includes over 55 items!

Moving to the right, we see that TGIF has a $10 endless appetizer deal. They've expanded their appetizer menu by over 5fold in the past few years to include more than just the freezer-burned wings and potato skins that boomers had been demanding.

On to Applebee's and you can see some real food innovation. You can see Applebee's now offers more than a plain burger with salt & pepper as millenials are truly culinarily fearless. Here we see chicken wonton tacos, quesadilla burgers and sizzling chicken & shrimp meals. Variety and quality taste are two new metrics restaurants are paying attention to now that millenials are the primary consumers.

Moving to the right, we can see Chili's attempt to bring in the millenial crowd with a FREE appetizer OR dessert. Wow, do these millenials know how to bargain or what? Just for walking in, you can get a free brownie sunday. Thanks, millenials.

Down at the bottom left, we see Red Robin offering a $15 deal for TWO tavern burgers and an appetizer or dessert. Wow, what a deal. Two gourmet burgers and a dessert or appetizer at very little additional cost.

And lastly we have a restaurant, you may or may not recognize, McDonald's has felt the pressure from millenials to switch from frozen chemical cocktails to real, fresh beef. Many of their burgers now are available exclusively with fresh beef. I never thuoht I'd see the day when a boomer could no longer order a silicon-based burger from McDoanld's but the millenials are out here driving change.
