Former food worker turned farmer here.

Short answer, "yes".
Long answer, "Hell yes".

Control your own food supply and cooking. Every place I ever worked at or my friends worked at had some ass hat who fucked with people's food. It didn't matter if you did anything or not, they did it, but if you did do something to piss them off or you were a cop they made something "extra special" for you. So, yeah, I'm a farmer now and I only eat food I've grown or raised myself.

Having worked in a couple good restaurants, no. Mostly because they have you on camera, and one person was actually fired for doing just that.

That being said, don't think that means your food won't get messed with if you're a cunt. I've seen people horribly over or undercook food, or do other bad things like drop it and still cook it.

>>10747171
Yes, you can absolutely sue for someone spitting in your food.

Obviously it changes state-by-state but there's a very good reason most restaurants crack down hard on this.

I was a server at a retirement home for a year and never did. Can't believe I didn't desu because the old faggots were asking for it every day. That said, if I worked at a regular restaurant I totally would have if a customer was pissing me off. I'm pretty sure they are always spitting, jizzing, and pooping into the food of customers they don't like. Always the waiters and not the cooks, unless the cooks can see you or the waiter tells them to fuck up your order with cum.

I've worked in 5 different restaurants over the course of 10 years. I have never once seen an employee spit in food or a drink, not have I ever even seen or heard an employee joke about doing so. That being said, I have worked almost exclusively at very nice and fancy restaurants.

I HAVE seen: food getting dropped on the floor or thrown in the trash getting wiped off and then re-grilled/baked and put back on a plate. But that's about it. When it's an expensive $60 cut of tenderloin you aren't about to waste it and make another just because it fell on the floor. I bring the food to them, so no. This is the total opposite of a waitress btw. Kind of dumb that you would use it as an example.
>Do you tip the cleaning lady in an office building?
Yes, if she cleans up a mess that I made. I tend to keep my area immaculate so I rarely have the opportunity.
>Do you tip the UPS man?
He doesn't even ring the bell let alone be a cute girl and flirt with me. If he stopped being so shit then I would gladly.
>It's the employers responsibility to pay his employees retard.
Yeah, when they do work for him. When they do work for you, you pay them. Restaurants are a business, not a charity. You think the owner needs to pay for all the prostitutes that get taken out to eat there by their johns too?

I've never once deliberately sabotaged food ONCE in my 12 years of working in food service off and on, and I have never seen it done either in the kitchens I worked in.

You actually have more to worry about with independent or struggling kitchens using out of date ingredients to cut food costs, or a dude accidentally dropping like a frozen chicken filet before it goes into the fryer with just dusting it off (guilty), or someone forgetting to wash their hands after prepping something hazardous.

The fact that me following basic handwash procedure would get people to call me "OCD" or a "germaphobe" at many places is enough to make me not want to eat out at anything that isn't extremely stringent with hiring practices.

I have two reasons I've never done this kind of thing to someones food:

1. It's disgusting and dishonest (But not everyone has this block, or some are just pissed off)

2. It's actually quite hard to pull it off. I've never tried it, but when you work in these places you always have a colleague near you. So if you wanted to you'd have to be sure they'd be accepting of it too, which usually, especially with a team leader about, won't be the case if you're spitting or jizzing into mayo.
Usually I'm too busy doing something else to have time for a dastardly scheme
If I get caught I lose my job, and look like a freak
And when you're spending so much time at a counter top, or inbetween tables, someone from the floor could fucking see you.

I worked fast food for a while and we got a lot of asshole customers, but I never once spit in food. It is really easy to make someone's food even worse than spitting, though, because they likely won't notice the spit. You people need to know that 90% of the workers in a fast food place have headsets that can hear who is ordering, so everyone knows if you were being an asshole.

You skimp out on the good stuff (bacon), extra condiments around the edges of bugers but none in the middle, give the watery portion of chili from the top, dip fries back in the fryer if they ask for fresh so they are soggy, limp lettuce or onion, splash pickle juice on the bun so it goes soggy, and many others.
