Tipping is a horrible system. It incentivizes pitting the employee against the customer, while the employer profits off it. The worst part? It doesn't even accomplish its stated goal of providing you, the customer, a better dining experience. Servers will only put in as much effort as the amount of tip they think they'll get from you. If you're a black person who actually tips I feel bad for you, because you will be treated like shit unless you're a regular.
