Are these good ideas? Starting up a burger place. Note: I only made the first one and it was very good.

Everting you cooked is raw cooked? Unless you cook something that has been already cooked and you cook it more.

What does "cook very raw" even mean ? Sheperd's pie with burgers under mash are you retarded ? Get the fuck out of my kitchen.

The first three are alright. I'd at least give them a try. The last two are worthless. Don't ever inflict those on a paying customer.

>> No.10694961

Ground meat should always be cooked until there is no pink left due to the significantly increased surface area.

that's called "rare", esl

Wait, so there's a 50% chance of getting bacon in your uncooked mess of a burger ?

A shop could sterilize their meat (put it in boiling water for a few moments) and then throw it into a grinder with all its parts fresh out of the dish washer. No bacteria getting ground into the meat and the extra effort is very little if you're doing it in large batches.

like i really hope this is a joke and ur not actually thinking of putting the word raw any where on your menu. nah this gots to be a joke if your thinking about starting a resturant and dont know what rare means

You would think that but stuff like raw has happened. People like oysters on the raw

>> No.10697614

Ground beef =/= fillet mignon
There is no reason to eat ground beef raw or rare. It is the shit part of the cow that needed to be ground up to be palletable. It's as ridiculous as eating milk with a spoon and calling it "raw cheese" except that won't give you parasites.

>> No.10697761

>>10697585
no because raw has a meaning when it pretains to red meat and foul its association is unclean and food poisoning
seafood raw means elgant and fancy like sushi.
theirs already a teir association behind red meat blue rare meadium rare ect. and as
ive said raw means for red meat is associated with illness expecially when it pretains to ground meat which is usally a lower quailty meat
i know you can get fancy ground meat that can be cooked rare no problem but once you start using the term raw and trying to sound fancy it wont work most people prefer their burgers fully cooked because of the sigmatism that comes with under cooked low quailty meat.

There are already loads of good, established burger combos. Sell shit with names like "The Aussie", using a simple australian version of the burger and other regional or national interpretations.

Also as someone who loves shepherds pie, the idea of shepherds pie on a bun or a roll sounds terrible. It's just going to go all over the place like a sloppy joe, and mashed potatoes on a bun seems a bit much.

Don't try to ritz up burgers too much, man. Focus on just having good ingredients and competence with a handful of crowd pleasing menu options.

Boiling would only sterilize the current surface area. Imagine saying you could just throw a chicken in boiling water for a few moments to make it okay to eat relatively raw.
You might think that the shape of ground meat means you'd be able to get everything or enough, but in actuality what is currently volume that is not the surface area of ground meat was likely to be surface area at some point and also a surprisingly decent enough amount of volume to matter.

A true aussie style burger also includes a slice of beetroot.

>Also as someone who loves shepherds pie, the idea of shepherds pie on a bun or a roll sounds terrible.
It's just shephard's pie. But it's made with small lamb patties instead of ground lamb, er I mean ground beef.
Get it?
