What are some foods that won’t offend a Midwestern palatte? I’m having to help cater and prepare meals for a corporate event for a group from Minnesota. I hear they like very plain foods with little seasoning and things like lime Jello and tater tot hot dishes.

Whipped cream, but be sure not to use cream in the normal sense. What they mean is "miracle whip" which is specially formulated to retain its consistency when mixed with canned fruit and the hottest garnish of 1957, dried shredded coconut

Some of the more fashionable youngsters have lately taken to the newfangled sour cream and onion potato chips but I would get that cleared in writing first, as it could be too spicy for most of the clientele

Chicken parm sounds like a good idea, maybe with a side salad and plain Italian bread with butter. We thought about doing a Low-Country Boil but thought it might be too spicy for them.

Nothing with scovilles higher than a splash of black pepper or you're ruined and will never have another gig.

Take a block of velveeta, melt it in a crockpot or a big bowl, add a can of mild rotell into it along with a pound of ground beef. Serve with tortilla chips and they should be happy.

Speaking as a Minnesotan, I'd recommend meat. Simple stuff - steaks, chops, etc. Walleye is always a winner. Go goofy with veggies if you like. Have some sort of potato or face a mutiny.

Can't go wrong with a good charcuterie platter. High quality hams, sausages, and cured meats, cheeses, and bread/ crackers to munch on as appetizers.

Jello salads are always popular, especially in Lutheran circles. Entrees are mainly meat and taters. Locally raised pork or beef is usually quite high quality. Sausages are nice too.

Probably something gay like organic cherry tomatoes or something. I'm just here to say that I love that an autistic liberal faggot like Garrison Keillor was outed as a sex pervert and fired like a dog.
