I finally got around to trying malt liquor. I see the appeal now: it's not that great but you don't have to pay a lot and it'll give you a good buzz. I don't recommend it, but I'm glad to have tried it.

Has /ck/ gotten around to trying anything new?

I've have a lot. The best bang for your buck is Steel Reserve. High in alcohol content and I think it's only like three dollars.

However the cons are that the first few sips are pretty rough. After the first half of your first 40 it doesn't matter though. Another thing is they got rid of the glass bottle and it's a plastic bottle now. The plus side to that though is it's a wider mouth for faster drinking and it doesn't shatter when someone from the ghetto throws an empty one at you. It also has a little "coldness indicator" to show if your beer is optimal drinking temperature.

Good ol 211 did me good for quite a few years. I can't touch it now though and I think it may have permanently fucked up my brain. Also, something about alcohol from a plastic container doesn't seem right. I guess it is safer though. I dropped a 40 outside the store I just bought it from once and the glass exploded up into my face and cut my nostril open and I was bleeding everywhere an had to go back in the store and buy another one bleeding all over looking crazy. But ya malt liquor is the shit.

I love hearing about other people's grandparents. My grandfather worked at the Watervliet Arsenal for over thirty years after getting out of the navy. Yeah the plastic bottles just seem off to me. They taste the same but it just doesn't have that solid heft that you get from a glass 40 that makes you feel like a real dirtbag but in a fun rough and tumble way, as opposed to a desperate way like the plastic does.
