Figs are indigenous to that mediterranean-type climate so all of them. In terms of flavor for me it's either Ischia Black or Violette de Bordeaux

Most of what's on the market doesn't require pollinating wasps for fruit production. If you live in an area with the wasp you could stick to "closed eye" types where they can't get inside.
