Napoleons always look great, but they're so fucking hard to eat. They always collapse and shoot cream everywhere. Very tasty, though.

I'm going to have to go with crème brûlée. Dead simple, a little elegant, I like mine with the sugar very dark, so the bitter notes offset the sweetness of the custard. Plus it's so satisfying to whack it and have that little spiderweb.

A close runner-up would be a pudim de leite.
