Can we get an international street food thread going?
I lived in Japan for years and was never really impressed with the street food at their festivals, except pic related. Okonomiyaki for the win!

What have your experiences been with street food at festivals /ck/?

I mean just look at how they keep their food fresh in the natural water.

I'll never forget the story my sister told me of the Indian street vendor who was so modernised, he found a way to get his food to bubble without even a source of heat. He just let the food get so old it would self-bubble.
I think he should have moved to a designitated poo street because I'm sure the feces covered streets would have assisted in the decay of the meat stew even faster.

I think it was their 'birth of Buddha' celebration day. I believe it was actually on the Saturday but they held the festival on the Sunday so more people could attend.
