That was a rental car so my tailgating setup was pretty limited. I'm from Florida, but this was in Charlotte for the race Saturday night. We were in the VIP seating so we only spent like 2 hours tailgating and then went to the Whiskey River Club.

I used to do it that way too until I found out that this way is how Johnsonville actually recommends and anyone from Wisconsin grills them. Tried it out myself and have never gone back.

Just keep doing a 1/4 turn on them as they start to slightly brown. They're done when you see the juices starting to pulse under the casing. Throw them in the beer, butter, and onion hot tub for about 15-20 mins at least and then just keep them warm until you throw them on a bun. Just make sure you don't cook them long enough to burst the casing, but if you do by accident the beer bath keeps them pretty plump and juicy anyways.
