Chicken and waffles are more an exclusive nigger thing though. It's typically served with a slice of watermelon and your choice of either grape Kool-Aid or an ice cold 40 of Hurricane.

If the maple syrup wasn't everywhere like in this picture and had it's own gravy boat thing, my autism could allow me to eat this. Though I've never had a waffle I've thought was good though, but it's a weird food here. Pancakes with bacon, sausage etc works so why not?

I can't count all the "american style" restaurants that have popped up in recent years in my central european country. Diners, delis, tex-mex, steakhouses with cowboy style interior and similar oddities. I have less of a problem with that than with all the middle eastern style falafel joints and african restaurants that have started to appear as well.

It seems odd because waffles are thought of as a sweet breakfast food, but they're essentially just bread. Not much different from having a bread roll with honey butter which isn't that uncommon. You can eat it whenever you want, that was one of its selling points at times, being served to people late at night who couldn't decide between dinner or breakfast foods. A lot of people put honey on their fried chicken too, some places will have honey in dipping cups to go with chicken nuggets.

It's pretty tasty, but obviously not the healthiest thing to be eating. It's something that you would just have as a treat when you're at a restaurant, nobody is making this every week at home. And like >>10608726 says, serving bacon or sausage with waffles/pancakes/French toast is already common and popular, so it's not that big of a difference.
