It's pretty good. Dry, typical old-world tannin structure. Mix of god-knows-which grapes, but overall, nice for a daily drinker if you like the style. I'd give it a 7.5-8/10. Wine mags would probably give it 88, maybe 89 points, but I CBA to look it up.

Cheers, fags.

What's an old world tannin structure?

>old world tannin structure
It's a typo. Sorry. Old world tannins and structure. Much more muted, less"bold" like a Cali cab.

Douro reds can be really nice. Had a bottle of Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa recently that was super good.

Drinking a glass of Armagnac right now. Most recent bottle of wine I drank was an Aglianico which I quite liked, but I've got a few bottles set for a dinner I'm doing with some friends sometime this week. I've got a bottle of champagne- Domaine Varnier-Fanniere 'Cuvee Saint Denis'- as well as an Austrian gruner veltliner, a red Jura wine, an old Rioja, and a bottle of 1967 malvasia madeira I've been waiting to open. Really looking forward to it.

Hydrogen dioxide. A wonderful little drop with a refreshing kick to it.

>omg u should try portuguese reds they're criminally underrated
Yeah I got memed by the "next big thing" fags too

There's a reason you can pick up a bottle of touriga or whatever for $8.99 (flyovers need not apply), it's because it's just not that great. I mean it's fine, definitely better than most $8.99 wines but let's face it, that's hardly saying much

However it's dry, and it's got reasonably high levels of sugar, tannins, and alcohol. Which means basically it's gonna get lafroog'd once millennials start to grow up and realize wine is better than beer

I look forward to $25 bottles of mediocre douro, coming fall of 2023

Also mods always delete wine threads, this will be no different. Check for the red trash can icon on warosu
