Thoughts on a cook-your-own steak restaurants? You pay for sides/salad bar/raw meat and cook your steak yourself, seasoned and heated to your liking. Waste of money, or fun night cooking with friends without having to worry about prep and cleanup?

If it's set up like that pic, then fuck that. I'd rather go to a korean grill and not bump elbows/share grill space with every asshole in the joint. Could be fun if it was an at-table setup though.

Prep is the most boring and annoying part of cooking and cooking is fun. But anything that takes more than a minute or two to cook will simply eat up your time so you can't talk. It works well for Korean BBQ and Okonomiyaki but I wouldn't want to waste 5-10 minutes cooking a big steak.
